I SURVIVED FOUR DAYS WITHOUT MY BABY CADE!!!
So it is Monday afternoon and I am just getting around to posting. Been busy catching up from being off on Friday. So as planned we dropped Cade off to Mommy, Aunt Ashley (AKA AUNT ASHWEE TO CADE) and David. We met them in Schulenberg and gave them our angel. Mike and I then headed home to pack...wow was our house QUIET!!! Seemed very weird without Cade there. Friday morning Mike and I loaded up and headed to Corpus for a wonderful weekend!!! Upon arrival Mike and I headed to Landry's to eat a wonderful lunch on the water, then we checked into the Omni and headed to Mike's surprise treat......a massage!!! Mike had no idea I planned a couples massage for us!! He was a lot nervous but ended up being fine!! He was disappointed he could not talk the whole time....I told him it was silence only...that is my rule but in the end his lady started talking and my rest and relaxation was over!!! AHHH!!! No more couples massages for us!!! hehe
After the massage and a few drinks at the bar we headed to a very romantic dinner on the top floor of our hotel. Lovely restaurant called the Republic Grill. If you are in Corpus...make a reservation to dine there. Awesome food, wonderful atmosphere, fabulous service!!!
Saturday we headed out to the mall to shop a little, had a little lunch and went to the Aquarium which was AWFUL!! We had been before when we were younger but OMG not good this time. Apparently when we were younger we did not mind the smell of the aquarium or the people that were there. And also did not mind the crowds??? Well we did this time in our old age...needless to say we spent $30, ran through the exhibit, got grossed out and fled!! Laughing the whole way!!! YUCK!!!
We chose to hang out by the pool, drink a few drinks (seems to be a trend huh???) and I read a book while Mike (who we all know can NOT sit still) walked around like a nut dying that I was sitting still!! hehe Dinner Saturday night was nice too. Fun times with Mike!! We talked about Cade A LOT of course but did really enjoy our time together too!! Sunday we got up and headed to meet my Mommy back in Schulenberg to get lil man. Goodness was I happy to see him!! Of course Grandmommy said he was PERFECT!!!!
AND I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS.....CADE NOW SAYS ASHWEE!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!
Thank you Mommy, David and Aunt Ashwee for keeping Cade all weekend!! It was nice to get away and not have one single worry about Cade!! We owe you big time!!!

This is what we endured every time we drove in the parking garage. Mike drives such an enormous truck that I swore we were going to hit the roof...and I took pictures to prove it!! LMAO
Apparently I only take pics of Baby Cade because there is not a single one of me and Mike!! Sorry to disappoint!! hehe Aunt Ashley is supposed to be sending me pics of Cade from Houston this weekend and I will post the same upon receipt!!
